‘Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar’ Trailer

Really don’t talk to me why the trailer for this new Kristen Wiig comedy, Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar, starts off like a spoof of Stranger Points. The film seemingly has very little to do with Stranger Points or ’80s horror or Netflix or nearly anything else. It is pretty evidently not a parody of horror motion pictures. The rest of the trailer is about two good friends, played by Wiig and Annie Mumolo, on a trip to a seaside resort.

Wiig and Mumulo also co-wrote the movie they formerly collaborated on the Academy Award nominated screenplay for Bridesmaids. Bizarre trailer notwithstanding, the comedy seems rather quirky but quite amusing if you are on that peculiar wavelength. Verify out the trailer down below:

Here’s the film’s formal synopsis:

Just take a journey and crack out of your shell with Barb and Star. From the gals who introduced you Bridesmaids (co-stars and co-writers Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo) comes BARB & STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR. Lifelong mates Barb and Star embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they determine to go away their tiny Midwestern city for the 1st time…ever.

Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar will be accessible at home on February 12. Lionsgate at first intended the film for a theatrical release last summer, then delayed it to this coming summer months due to the fact of the pandemic. Then they resolved to bypass theaters completely and release the movie on top quality VOD alternatively. Now it is coming out in a lot less than a thirty day period.
