BBC Breakfast’s temperature presenter Carol Kirkwood was invited onto a recent episode of The 1 Present to focus on her new novel, The Hotel on the Riviera. She talked about the e-book with fantastic enthusiasm which led host Ronan Keating to talk to if she would at any time want to take around a lodge herself. On the other hand, Carol recalled how her parents labored about the clock to look immediately after their lodge which discouraged her from pursuing in their footsteps.

Co-host Alex Scott then asked about her fiancé as she was surprised he wakes up ahead of 2.45am to make Carol a cup of tea each and every early morning right before she heads off to work. 

Carol explained to BBC viewers she had named just one of the figures in her reserve immediately after her partner. 

“The chef Stefan is named just after him, he is called Steve, so that is the resemblance,” Carol defined. 

“I preferred to get him in the book somehow so his title is in there.”
