I have a query: What’s your favorite U.S. Nationwide Park?
About the earlier two a long time, I’ve fallen in enjoy with them.
Just before the pandemic, I experienced only visited a handful of them, mainly by accident. But when the pandemic strike, and it was secure sufficient to road-vacation, I drove all close to the nation going to them.
Now I have observed 15 out of 63. And sometime, I’d like to see them all.
Initially, there was Redwood National Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…
Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling sights of nuclear reactors…
Then Utah, house to some of the best countrywide parks in the region: I frequented Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
After Utah, I frequented Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Warm Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is where by I dwell now.
Then there was Major Bend, Texas. The evening sky is extraordinary there! You can see so several stars.
Followed by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…
And most just lately, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Nationwide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even observed mountain goats.
I come to feel so fortunate that I have gotten to see so significantly of our lovely region in the past number of a long time.
When I was young, I centered solely on intercontinental vacation (this blog isn’t referred to as Ashley Abroad for nothin’). But more than the earlier two yrs, I’m content to report that I’ve attained a newfound appreciation for my possess yard.
It turns out you really don’t have to fly halfway about the globe to go on an experience.
As for my favored? It’s a two-way tie among Redwood and Large Bend.
How lots of nationwide parks have you visited? Do you have a most loved?
